Teresa Di Franco
Teresa is a Registered Pharmacist and Credentialled Diabetes Educator. She is passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge and skills required to live with diabetes. She has worked with people living with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes but her area of special interest is young adults living with Type 1 diabetes. In the rapidly evolving world of diabetes technology, she recognises the importance of providing the most up-to-date information and offering the most advanced devices to help make living with diabetes as comfortable as possible. She strongly believes that diabetes education should not focus solely on blood glucose levels but should also address the psychological and emotional impact of diabetes. She values being a part of patients’ diabetes support team to help them achieve their set goals. She has been trained in both the Living with Diabetes and DESMOND group education programs. As a pharmacist Teresa is able to provide extra services such as medication review, reconciliation and counselling on the correct use of medications.
